Pastor

PrDavidHefner

Although a few generations of my family were born and raised in the Hickory-Bethlehem area, I was born and raised in Pennsylvania mostly. Born in Phoenixville west of Philadelphia, I went to elementary school in Williamsport (home of the Little League). I spent Jr High in Silver Spring MD, my Junior year in Middletown NJ and graduated from North Alleghany H.S. is Pittsburgh, PA. I have an Associate degree in Architecture, earned from the Williamsport Area Community College. I met my wife (for the second time, we knew each other as kids, went to the same church and school) during this 2-year stay in town. I transferred to Penn State and received a B.S. in Agronomy. I graduated from the Theological Seminary at Gettysburg in 1982 and have served 4 rural, small town congregations in south central Pennsylvania, one a mission congregation in the NALC, before coming to Shiloh. Kathy and I have been married for 38 years. We have no children, but have enjoyed the children at our churches and our nieces and nephews.

  1. Rev. Sandi Hood says:

    Good afternoon Rev. Hefner,
I hope this message finds you well. Kelly Tate, our vice-president of community outreach met your wife, Kathy when she brought something to Grace the other week. Kathy shared that you were the pastor at Shiloh Lutheran Church. In the course of the conversation, Kelly shared that we were in need of volunteers in Alexander country. Kathy suggested we might want to check to see if you would be willing to let us display some volunteer brochures in a small plastic stand? I also have a list of some of the free educational programming we provide for congregations that I can also bring.
I look forward to hearing from you.
    Many blessings,
    Rev. Sandi Hood
